Congratulations to the 61 FIRST LEGO League Challenge teams that participated in one of the four, Quad Cities FIRST LEGO League Challenge qualifying events. The teams were from 32 different Iowa and Illinois home communities.
A huge thanks to:
- Our amazing 111 event volunteers who provided excellent support for our events including many FIRST Alumni! Among our volunteers as emcees were STEM Champions, 2024 Miss Iowa Teen Avery Bradley of Muscatine and past QCESC President and Iowa Lieutenant Governor of Iowa and Iowa Governors STEM Advisory Co-Lead , Chris Cournoyer.
- The John Deere World Headquarters and Putnam Museum and Science Center who hosted two events each! It was especially special to have the Putnam Museum line up sponsorships from Eaton (Eaton Aerospace Group, Mission Systems Division) and PCT Ebeam to allow them to close the museum and provide full access to the FIRST LEGO League teams with their families!
- FIRST LEGO League Program Delivery Partners from Iowa and Illinois including Yamille Pérez from Iowa State University and Dee Karabowicz from FIRST Illinois.
- Event coverage by KWQC with Iowa FIRST Alumni and now Iowa State University Engineering student Ella Meyer.
