Celebrating STEM Success:
Everyone, including students are cordially invited to attend this annual inspire event, the 64th Annual Quad City Engineering & Science Council (QCESC) STEM Celebration. The event celebrates the myriad of STEM successes from across the Quad City Region over the past year. The event is being held during Engineer Week (E-Week),
Special Keynote Speaker:
Chris Rake, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer with FIRST, the world’s leading youth-serving nonprofit advancing STEM. He leads daily operations of FIRST to drive forward its global community in over 100 countries, which is dedicated to preparing young people for the future through engaging, team-based research and robotics programs that inspire young leaders and innovators. This includes FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge, and FIRST Robotics Competition supporting youth ages 5 – 18.
STEM Awards & Scholarships:
During the program, STEM awards will be presented to our top Engineers, Scientists, Technologists, STEM Teachers, STEM Volunteers, and Technical Society. Additionally, we are proud to support the next generation of STEM professionals by awarding STEM Scholarships to a remarkable group of seniors from local high schools.
